The Screenshots album
Every screenshot you take lands in one place automatically: Photos → Albums → Screenshots (under Media Types). No setup, it has always been there. The catch: it is every screenshot you have ever taken, newest first. Finding the one from March means scrolling March.
Search the Photos app
Photos can read the text inside your screenshots. Open Photos → Search and type a word you remember seeing in it — a restaurant name, an order number, a word from the text convo. Spotlight works too: swipe down on the Home Screen and search the same word.
The catch: this only finds exact words. "That ramen place from tiktok" finds nothing — you have to remember that the caption said "kinboshi". Most of the time you remember the thing, not the text.
Ask in plain words instead
Receipts reads every screenshot on your iPhone and answers questions the way you actually remember them:
- "that ramen place from tiktok" → the TikTok screenshot, with the name, address and hours pulled out
- "her birthday list" → the wishlist screenshots she sent, found
- "my boarding pass" → the pass, gate and seat on top
It opens straight to Ask — one tap or hold the button and say it. The screenshot itself is the answer, with the details pulled out: place, address, date, time, price, links, codes. And everything is read on your phone — nothing gets uploaded.
